Overview

I helped build the Visit Las Vegas website alongside my teammates at Simpleview. Following are some curated examples of the work I contributed.

01A Very Friendly

Takeover

With a site as large as VLV's, building a nav that is both non-intrusive and easy to use is a delicate balance to strike.

The header's middle row has everything a visitor will need to see, and hovering over each item reveals a more detailed menu.

The takeover navigation lends focus to the sitemap without overwhelming the user, and invites them to engage with other areas of the site.

02Just Keep Sliding

Events Slideshow

What would a visit to Las Vegas be without taking advantage of their constant and amazing events?

The events slideshow invites the user to browse Las Vegas's hottest events at a glance, and to take a deeper dive if more information is needed.

The Animated Marquee

Simpleview's tailored site designs often include small moments of delightful interactivity.

These are probably even more fun for me to build than they are for the user to interact with. As you can imagine, as I come from a background of illustration and design, building complex animations from scratch is one of my job's greatest joys.

Business on the Back End

Party on the Front End

As I've made abundantly clear, I am hugely motivated by strong design.

Whether it's something playful, like Theater Toolkit; bold, like Visit Irving; or deceptively simple, like Visit Las Vegas, I always find something to enjoy about building what great designers have dreamed up.

I did not design the Visit Las Vegas website, and building it was a collaborative effort involving many talented developers. I am honored, however, to have been part of that effort, and to have made my mark on this one-of-a-kind destination.
