Capor Nils is a member of the first battalion to be sent out against the Sylranian incursion into Auerstel. He is gravely wounded in the fighting, and during his stay in the infirmary of Auerstel Castle he is frequently visited by Duke Andel Sommer. This firms his devotion to the duke, and when he finally recovers he is promoted to the position of captain for his bravery. Captain Nils becomes, at that point, a staunch loyalist to Duke Andel Sommer.
